Research Assistant
Ria Shah, M.S., is a research assistant for OpenNotes at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She contributes to OurNotes for Care Partners, the EHR Proxy Access for Care Partners Initiative, and supports research in the ever expanding open notes universe.
Ria earned a B.A. in cellular and molecular biology, and an M.S. in biology, both at Boston University. Prior to her work at OpenNotes, she conducted work in bench science—specifically working with extracellular vesicles and intestinal fluid.
Ria has a special interest in clinical transparency and its connection to trust in the patient-clinician relationship.
