Jill’s background is in theatre, the visual arts, and poetry. Working with student actors from diverse backgrounds, she has focused on creating original theatre, including music and poetry. Using drama to teach curriculum and to address issues in the classroom in Lexington, MA, she helped create and lead Learning Through Drama (LTD), extending it to Somerville and Watertown high schools. She also co-chaired Arts Created Together (ACT), a program that brought artists-in-residence to public schools in Lexington.
Jill believes strongly in open communication, questioning, and group problem-solving. She has been part of a team revising PatientSite, the patient portal at BIDMC. She is thrilled to have collaborated with Jason Fairchild in creating the OpenNotes logo and to be a member of the OpenNotes communications team.
